Chelsea Bahney, PhD, featured at the UCSF Innovation Showcase


Chelsea Bahney, PhD, was highlighted as a ‘UCSF Frontline Innovator’ at the UCSF Innovation Showcase during the recent JP Morgan Conference.

This dynamic event showcased frontline innovation in healthcare and highlighted were five companies founded at the university.

Department of Orthopaedic Surgery’s Aenor Sawyer, MD, MS of UCSF Innovation Ventures and EVCP Catherine R. Lucey, MD, MACP, organized and co-moderated this innovative event.
Dr. Bahney and her colleague, Sarah Knox, PhD, presented on behalf of Hydronovo, a start-up company with the mission to drive tissue regeneration through stem cell reactivation. 
The showcase allowed us to highlight our important work to address salivary gland dysfunction that has been funded by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), C-Doctor Program and California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM).

Chelsea Bahney, PhD, has been on faculty with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Orthopaedic Trauma Institute, since 2014.  Her focus is on bench to bedside translation.
