About Tyler Haislip, CO

Tyler is a dedicated clinical practitioner in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics (O&P), currently working at the UCSF Orthotics & Prosthetics Center. His passion for O&P grew from his experience with humanitarian missions in Vietnam, where he provided prostheses to individuals in need. This experience inspired his commitment to better design prosthetic and orthotic devices for underserved populations.

Tyler's educational journey includes a Master of Science in Prosthetics & Orthotics from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Mercer University, with a background in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech. He gained valuable hands-on experience as an O&P resident at UCSF and as an intern at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Outside of his clinical work, Tyler is passionate about advancing O&P practices in less-resourced settings and supports innovative, sustainable solutions to improve the lives of people in need worldwide.
