About Lacie Charaschirakul
Lacie Charaschirakul is a dedicated professional in the field of orthotics and prosthetics, committed to delivering exceptional care and advancing knowledge in the discipline. With a diverse background in athletic training, orthotics, and extensive clinical experience, Lacie has developed a specialized focus in pediatric and adult orthotics.
Lacie earned her undergraduate degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in athletic training from California State University, Northridge. After graduation, she became a certified athletic trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC). Prior to joining the Department of Orthotics and Prosthetics at UCSF, she worked at a private orthopedic group in East Bay, providing services such as game day coverage, casting and splinting, home exercise programs for acute injuries and post-op patients, as well as durable medical equipment. After joining the O&P team at UCSF in 2018, she earned certifications as a certified orthotic fitter and certified orthotic assistant through the American Board for Certification (ABC).
Throughout her career, Lacie has gained invaluable experience in both clinical and research settings. Her work is characterized by a commitment to excellence and a passion for advancing the field of orthotics and prosthetics. She currently sees patients at the UCSF Mission Bay location, splitting her time between the Orthopaedic Institute, where she serves the adult population, and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, where she works with pediatric patients.
