About Hally Solarczyk, MA, ATC

Hally Solarczyk joined UCSF and the PlaySafe Program in August 2016. Throughout her tenure at UCSF, she has provided athletic training services at various PlaySafe high schools, notably at Mission and Thurgood Marshall High Schools in the SFUSD, where she currently serves as the head athletic trainer. Hally is dedicated to helping her student-athletes navigate the complex healthcare system and serves as a valuable resource for the athletic community. She launched PlaySafe’s first Insurance Initiative, creating resources to help families access accurate information and enroll in free or low-cost health insurance. Hally also serves on the PlaySafe Cardiac PPE Planning Committee, where she has been crucial in coordinating the event, with a primary focus on volunteer recruitment and management.

In the clinic, Hally’s expertise in navigating insurance and referrals has made her a key asset, assisting athletes and patients with swift access to specialists. She supports the UCSF Concussion Clinic by triaging referrals and addressing insurance barriers. Additionally, Hally has played a significant role in enhancing the Orthopaedic Department’s online presence by updating websites and patient-facing resources.

Hally earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 2014. In 2016, she received her Master of Arts in Athletic Training from San José State University, where she served as a graduate assistant with the women’s soccer and softball teams at San Francisco State University.
