Overview
This Virtual Live-Steam course is designed to Educate and empower health care providers regarding an interdisciplinary approach to children with lower limb differences, deformities and length discrepancies.
Target Audience
This conference is tailored towards Orthopaedic Surgeons, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physicians, Pediatricians and Family Physicians, Orthotists & Prosthetists, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Physical Therapists.
Objectives
An attendee completing this course will be able to apply acquired skills and strategies to:
- Discuss the comprehensive management of a child with lower limb differences in diverse practice settings
- Learn how to build a multidisciplinary limb optimization program based on locally available resources
- Review the unique management of a child amputee
- Using case-based discussion, identify the treatment options and complications encountered during care of a child following musculoskeletal trauma or sepsis
- Explore opportunities for sharing knowledge and skills amongst health workers who take care of a patient with limb differences
