About Finn Leschly

I am a Junior Specialist in the Bahney Lab at UCSF with interests in translational musculoskeletal research and improving clinical outcomes following fracture. I am currently on a gap year prior to applying to medical school and am motivated by integrating research with patient-centered care. I graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, where I developed a strong foundation in biological sciences and an interest in applying mechanistic insight to clinically relevant problems. My research interests center on fracture healing, infection, and pain, with a particular focus on how therapeutic interventions influence both biological repair and patient-reported outcomes. My long-term goal is to pursue medical training and a career as a physician-scientist, using research to inform clinical decision-making and advance treatments for patients with orthopaedic injuries.
