IGOT hosted the 11th Annual Tanzania SMART Course in Dar es Salaam, continuing a long-standing collaboration dedicated to advancing orthopaedic trauma education and patient care across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Hosted at the Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI) in partnership with SIGN Fracture Care International (SIGN), this year’s four-day course welcomed more than 100 surgeons, trainees, and faculty from eight countries for collaborative learning, mentorship, and skills development.
Several UCSF faculty were in attendance including Drs. Saam Morshed, Paul Toogood, Anthony Ding, Sanjeev Sabharwal, and Michael Terry.
We are grateful to the faculty and attendees for their dedication, collaboration, and commitment to education.
