About Denise Tung, ATC
Denise Tung has been with UCSF since 2021 and has quickly made an impact as the head athletic trainer at Washington and Wallenberg High Schools. Her interest in athletic training began at Foothill College in 2014. After earning her associate’s degree in Athletic Injury Prevention Care and Kinesiology, she continued her education at San José State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2021.
At UCSF, Denise has contributed to enhancing athletic training services within the SFUSD by providing continuing education on various sports safety topics to the athletic training team. She has also played a key role in coordinating complex playoff and championship schedules to ensure comprehensive care at as many events as possible. Additionally, Denise assists with triage at the UCSF Sports Concussion Clinic to facilitate timely scheduling for concussion patients.
On weekends, Denise enjoys spending time with her canine companion, Millie.
