SAN FRANCISCO (July 27, 2022) – The UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and the UCSF Sarcoma Center is thrilled to host the 5th annual UCSF Sarcoma Strong 5K this year on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022 at 10 a.m. starting at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Mission Bay in San Francisco.

The event, which raises both awareness and funding for the care and treatment of sarcoma (soft tissue and bone cancers), welcomes walkers and runners of all ages.

For anyone unable to participate in-person, please join our team in a virtual 5K, which will run Aug. 18 to 25, 2002. The UCSF team will be joining teams from across the U.S. to raise funds to fight sarcoma.

All participants with receive a UCSF Sarcoma Strong T-shirt; sizes run from adult S-2XL and youth. Please email rosanna.wustrack@ucsf.edu with your shirt size.

When: Participants will meet at 10 AM to check in and receive event t-shirts; the run/walk will start at 10:30 AM.

Where: The UCSF Sarcoma Strong 5K team will meet in front of UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital at Mission Bay (1975 4th St, San Francisco, CA 94158). The 5K will start and end here. Brunch to follow.

Parking: Street parking is available around the hospital; there is a pay lot in front of the hospital.
