UCSF Orthopaedic Surgery Grand Rounds Explores Art and Creativity in Medicine
Dr. Alicia Asturias, PGY4 Resident, Presents "ARThropedics: An Exploration of Art and Creativity in Medicine and Surgery" at Today’s Grand Rounds
San Francisco, CA, December 11, 2024 — The UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Dr. Alicia Asturias, a fourth-year resident physician presented Grand Rounds on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024 on the topic: ARThropedics: An Exploration of Art and Creativity in Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Asturias highlighted the vital role of creativity and artistic expression in patient care.
Dr. Asturias, who has a background as an All-American gymnast and an artist, shared her insights on how art and creativity intersect with the practice of orthopaedics, enhancing patient outcomes and physician well-being.
The event took place at Genentech Hall’s Byers Auditorium.
