Dr. Tangtiphaiboontana is empathetic, collegial, and a technically a great surgeon. She works collaboratively with the whole care team to optimize patient care and outcomes.
About the Clinical Excellence Award at Regional Medical Center of San Jose:
Six candidates out of 200 surgeons for two awards from the surgical services department that are nominated by the Chair of the Department. Below are the award criteria:
1- Must be an active staff member in good standing
2- Collegiality, professionalism, excellent standard of medical care
3- Compassionate patient care
4- Adheres to the Regional Medical Center mission to improve the health and well-being of our patients, community, and hospital.
The candidates are then presented to all of the 676 medical staff at Regional Medical Center of San Jose.
The medical staff then anonymously votes on who receives the award.
