DOCSF JAPAN: Digital x Orthopaedic Surgery Forum 'EXPERIENCE 2024'

Last month, DOCSF JAPAN, the first global affiliate of the Digital Orthopaedics Conference San Francisco (DOCSF) in the US, held an on-site event, "EXPERIENCE 2024," in Tokyo.

This event, which focused on digital health in the fields of orthopaedics, musculoskeletal medicine, rehabilitation, and sports medicine, as well as the industry-government-academia collaboration to achieve this, was a remarkable success in its inaugural year, with over 100 attendees from across sectors and fields.

From UCSF Orthopaedics, DOCSF Founder and Chair Stefano Bini, MD, and DOCSF Japan Co-Chair Kazuhito Morioka, MD, PhD, were in attendance along with academic and business experts, government officials, and a former Olympic athlete in Japan.

At this event, the presenters discussed the digital shift in Japanese healthcare with the following elements:
1. 3 sessions featuring 23 speakers
2. 2 cross-sector and cross-industry networking sessions, including 5 company exhibition pitches
3. 1 keynote by a leading expert in digital health
Over six hours, the speakers addressed the global barriers between Japan and the US, as well as the sectoral barriers among industry, government, and academia that impede the digital transformation process.

The post-event report has been published, and recordings of the talks will soon be released on the DOCSF JAPAN YouTube channel.

We look forward to our second annual event in 2025!
