About Roger Long, MD

Dr. Roger Long is a skilled endocrinologist with a specialized focus on bone health and metabolic bone disorders. His comprehensive approach to care extends to both adult and pediatric patients, with a strong commitment to improving skeletal health. Dr. Long’s academic journey began at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 1999. Following this, he completed his Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency at the University of California San Diego in 2003.  To advance his skills in endocrinology, he created and completed a unique combined Medicine and Pediatrics Endocrinology fellowship training program at University of California San Francisco in 2007.  His training at UCSF included a post-doctoral fellowship funded by NASA to investigate the impact of mechanical loading on hormonal signaling in bone.  Over time he has developed an immense expertise and passion for the care of patients with bone health conditions across all ages.   Dr. Long is dual board certified in Pediatric Endocrinology by the American Board of Pediatrics and Endocrinology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
