About Austen Katz MD
Dr. Austen Katz is an orthopedic spine fellow dedicated to advancing patient care through innovative surgical techniques. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra-Northwell Long Island Jewish Hospital. Dr. Katz has conducted extensive national database research, which he hopes to continue during fellowship, while seeking to increase proficiency with cutting-edge technology in the operating room, and to obtain world-class complex spinal deformity experience. He loves teaching and training residents, and places highest value on kindness, thoughtfulness, respect, and trust.
