About Camille Veronica Lu, MPH, ATC

Camille Veronica Lu joined the UCSF PlaySafe Program in 2021. Prior to joining PlaySafe, she managed athletic training services for club sports at the University of California, Berkeley, for seven years, coordinating medical care for 35 teams, including ice hockey, men’s lacrosse, women’s rugby, and triathlon. At UCSF, Camille is one of the athletic trainers for Convent and Stuart Hall, Schools of the Sacred Heart. In addition to providing athletic training services, she serves as the primary administrator for the sports medicine program.

Camille has a strong interest in continuing education and serves as a course co-chair for the annual UCSF Primary Care Sports Medicine Conference. She also volunteers at Far West Athletic Trainers' Association annual meetings and contributes to marketing efforts for the PlaySafe Program and the PCSM Conference. She values providing health education to the public and highlighting the positive impact of the PlaySafe Sports Medicine Program in the community. Camille is also a lacrosse and performing arts enthusiast, working in both fields at the professional level. She appreciates the continuity of care provided by UCSF's interdisciplinary approach.

Camille earned her Master’s of Public Health in Health Policy & Management from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from San Diego State University.
