About Alexa Chandler, PhD
Alexa J. Chandler, PhD, is a Research Specialist conducting research in the UCSF Women’s Sports Medicine Center within the UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, focusing on advancing research in women’s sports medicine. She earned her PhD in Exercise Science: Applied Physiology from the University of South Carolina, her MS in Kinesiology and Applied Physiology from Rutgers University, and her BS in Exercise Science from Ithaca College. Her work involves collaborating with orthopedic surgeons, dietitians, and physical therapists to improve health, performance, and well-being across the lifespan for female athletes.
