Resident, Wyatt David, announced as Krevans awardee for 2024

In June, the UCSF School of Medicine, Zuckerberg San Francsico General, celebrated exceptional achievements by interns through the annual Krevans Awards.

Department of Orthopedic Surgery, 2nd Year Resident, Wyatt David, was announced as a Krevans awardee for 2024!

Wyatt David graduated high school in Bozeman, Montana and moved to Philadelphia to attend college at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a sprinter on the track team while also participating in the Vagelos Molecular Life Sciences Program, a program where students obtain a master’s degree during undergraduate training. After college, Wyatt moved to New Haven to attend Yale University School of Medicine where he decided to pursue Orthopaedic Surgery and was lucky enough to match at UCSF! During his free time, he also enjoys going for runs, spending time with family and friends, and playing video games.

The Krevans Award, named after Dr. Julius Krevans, former chancellor and dean of the UCSF school of medicine, recognizes "excellence in patient care, as exemplified by clinical competence, professional conduct, concern for patients and interaction with all levels of staff, including peers." Recipients are selected by the chiefs of the various medical departments at the Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.

The award was established in 1979 by the Gladstone Institutes, a UCSF-affiliated research institute formerly located on the ZSFG campus.
