PlaySafe Cardiac Physicals set for May 6

UCSF PlaySafe Sports Medicine Program, a year-round program that provides sports medicine care to 28 Bay Area high schools,will hold its sgnature event tomorrow: PlaySafe Cardiac Physicals for student athletes. The event, which is free but requires reistration, will provide student athletes with a comprehensive sports physicals with cardiac screening.  The event was developed to detect underlying medical and orthopaedic abnormalities in student athletes -- a measure to prevent sudden cardiac death. For High School Students (Expected graduation: 2018-2021)

Register online.  Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email  that has two forms that need to be signed by a parent/legal guardian for any student athlete under the age of 18 years old.  You must bring these signed documents with you on on the day of the cardiac physical (Saturday, May 6, 2017).
