SAN FRANCISCO — August. 1, 2025 — The UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Institute for Global Orthopaedics and Traumatology (IGOT) have released the 2025 UCSF/IGOT Pediatric Limb Differences webinar. Recordings from the annual virtual course, held June 13, are now available online for open access.

“This is our fourth year hosting the Pediatric Limb Differences webinar, and each time I’m inspired by the depth and generosity of our international faculty,” said Dr. Sanjeev Sabharwal, course chair and professor of clinical orthopaedics at UCSF. “We’re able to bring together an incredible range of expertise and experience to spark meaningful conversations around caring for children with complex limb deformities — no matter the setting or available resources.”

The event brought together global experts in pediatric orthopedics to explore post-traumatic limb deformities in children and young adults.

Led by Dr. Sabharwal, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and director of UCSF’s Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Center, the live-streamed program featured four interactive sessions. Topics included sequelae of physeal injuries, malunions, nonunions with bone loss, and frugal innovations in deformity care. Each session combined concise expert talks, case-based discussions, and panel discussions.

Designed for orthopedic surgeons, pediatricians, rehabilitation specialists and allied health professionals, the course emphasizes global perspectives and practical, team-based approaches to managing complex pediatric limb conditions.
