Join UCSF, Movement Climbing Gym, and CAF for a day of adaptive climbing!
The UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, the Division of Orthotics and Prosthetics, CAF and Movement Gym San Francisco hosts its sixth annual UCSF Adaptive Rock-Climbing Clinic on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026 at Movement Gym in the Presidio. This event provided a community-oriented and engaging environment for climbers of all abilities to explore and challenge themselves.
This annual event is designed for everyone, from beginners to advanced climbers, with routes available for all ability levels. No prior climbing experience is required; every participant will be paired with an experienced belayer throughout the clinic. The session will help beginners build foundational climbing skills while giving more experienced climbers the chance to refine and learn new techniques.
There are no age restrictions; however, for belay, climbing safety, and proper equipment harness fit, participants must weigh at least 40 lbs.
SCHEDULE
Check in begins at 11:00AM. Climbing will be from approximately 12:00–1:45 PM, followed by lunch and a raffle. Participants are welcome to continue climbing until 3:00 PM.
More information to come via email. With any questions, please reach out to Joshua Unterman at Joshua.Unterman@UCSF.edu.
