About Lisa Martinez, MS, ATC, CFo

Lisa C. Martinez is an experienced Athletic Trainer and Certified Fitter-Orthotics at the University of California, San Francisco, where she has been providing expert care since 2023. In her role, Lisa oversees the fitting of off-the-shelf (OTS) orthotics for inpatient services at UCSF Parnassus and Mount Zion hospitals, serving a broad range of departments including orthopedics, neurosurgery, intensive care units, oncology, general medicine, emergency services, plastics, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and transplant.

Lisa is responsible for developing and updating policies and procedures for hospital staff, delivering in-services on device fittings to various departments, and mentoring orthotics and prosthetics (O&P) residents during their clinical rotations. She manages inventory for OTS devices and custom orders, ensuring high-quality patient care through meticulous documentation and billing.

Lisa earned her Master of Science in Exercise Science from Cal Poly Humboldt in 2017, with a focus on the cognitive effects of contact sport participation. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from California State University, Sacramento, completed in 2013.
