The UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery wishes our patients, colleagues, trainees, alumni, and community a safe and happy Fourth of July.
As you celebrate with family and friends, we encourage everyone to make safety part of the holiday. If your plans include fireworks, remember that the safest choice is to leave them to professional displays. Fireworks can cause serious injuries to the hands, eyes and face, many of which are preventable.
Whether you're enjoying a neighborhood gathering, heading outdoors or watching a local fireworks show, we hope you have a fun, memorable and safe Independence Day.
Happy Fourth of July from all of us at the UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
