Sanjeev Sabharwal, MD, MPH, named editor-in-chief of JBJS Reviews

SAN FRANCISCO (Feb. 24, 2026) — The UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is pleased to announce that Sanjeev Sabharwal, MD, MPH, a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon and a professor of orthopaedics, has been named editor-in-chief of JBJS Reviews. He succeeds founding editor Thomas A. Einhorn, MD, who led the journal for 13 years.

Dr. Sabharwal previously served as a deputy editor of The Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery and has authored more than 140 peer-reviewed publications. He also directs the Limb Lengthening and Complex Reconstruction Center at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital and serves as program director for UCSF’s pediatric orthopaedic fellowship.

Launched in 2013, JBJS Reviews is an online journal that publishes peer-reviewed summaries of orthopaedic research.
