Department Scores No. 8 in Nation in U.S. News 2024 Rankings

SAN FRANCISCO, July 16, 2024 — The UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery has achieved a significant milestone, rising to the 8th spot in the nation according to U.S. News & World Report's 2024 rankings.

This prestigious recognition highlights the department's unwavering dedication to excellence in patient care, research, and education.

U.S. News evaluated data from nearly 5,000 hospitals, with 1,647 specializing in orthopaedics. The rankings consider the top 50 hospitals that excel in treating complex musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions.
