SAN FRANCISCO – May 15, 2026 — Held Friday evening, May 8, at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero in San Francisco, Bones Ball 2026 brought together 200 residents, fellows, faculty, alumni, families, and friends for the annual celebration of graduating chief residents and fellows and departmental award recipients.

The evening reflected a longstanding departmental tradition — celebrating not only academic achievement, but also the mentorship, camaraderie, and shared commitment that define orthopaedic training at UCSF. In addition to honoring the graduating class, the department honored the classes of 1996, 2006, and 2016. Additional honors recognized excellence across clinical care, mentorship, teaching, and resident leadership.
