SAN FRANCISCO — May 27, 2026 — UCSF orthopaedic spine surgeon Dr. Alekos Theologis is serving as faculty at the AO Spine North America “Principles and Treatment in Spinal Disorders” course taking place May 29-30 in La Jolla, California.
The AO Spine educational program is designed for orthopaedic and neurological surgery residents and focuses on foundational principles in spinal disorders, including fracture reduction, stable fixation, preservation of soft tissue and blood supply, and early mobilization to restore patient function.
The two-day modular course uses case-based learning in small groups, with participants rotating through interactive stations led by expert spine faculty from orthopaedic surgery and neurosurgery disciplines.
