Dr. Woolley grew up in Denver, Colorado, and earned her undergraduate degree in integrative physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder. An athlete, she played rugby and rock climbed, which sparked her interest in orthopedic surgery. After working as a snowboard instructor in Vail, Colorado, she attended the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine, where she engaged in biomechanics, exercise physiology, and high-altitude research. Currently in her orthopedic surgery residency at UCSF, Dr. Woolley is applying to sports medicine fellowships, with research interests focused on healthcare disparities and the environmental impact of healthcare.
