Directions, parking

From I-880:

1. Take the 7th Street / 52nd Street exit.

2. Head toward 52nd Street.

3. Follow signs for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.

4. Parking is available in the hospital lot or visitor garage.

Paid parking is available 24/7 in the garage on Martin Luther King Jr. Way, between 52nd and 53rd Streets. There is a maximum charge for a 24-hour period. Paying for a full day provides in-and-out privileges—just keep your receipt each time you exit and re-enter. Discount parking coupons can be purchased from the garage attendant. Bike racks are also available in the garage.

Metered parking is available near the hospital on 52nd Street.

Public transportation

By BART and UCSF Shuttle:

• Take BART to MacArthur Station.

• UCSF offers a free shuttle between the MacArthur BART station and the hospital Monday–Friday, 5:45 a.m. to 12:15 a.m. (no service on weekends or holidays).

• At MacArthur BART: Board the shuttle in front of the station. Look for the bus with the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital logo.

• At the Hospital: Pickup and drop-off are at the main entrance.

By AC Transit Bus (when shuttle is not operating):

• Walk to the northeast corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Way at 40th Street.

• Take AC Transit Bus #18 north (toward Berkeley).

• Get off at the southeast corner of 53rd Street and MLK Jr. Way, then walk about 2 minutes to the hospital at 52nd Street.
