Visiting Students

Thank you for your interest in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery’s clinical elective. When space is available, U.S. visiting students (we DO NOT accept international students) may apply to participate in the clinical electives listed below. We do not provide room ,or board for visiting students. Please check our housing section for more information. Students must be in their 4th year of training and comply with all UCSF’s requirements.

Since 2009, UCSF has accepted applications submitted on-line through the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Visiting Student Application Service (VSAS) for US Medical Students. Please visit the UCSF website for more information.

2015-2016 Application Dates: UCSF allows us to offer electives ONLY after April 20, 2015. The system however opens in early February and you are welcome to apply at that time.
