New clinic brings specialized pediatric orthopaedic care closer to children and families throughout the Tri-Valley and East Bay.
SAN RAMON, Calif. (June 30, 2026) — The UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery celebrated the opening of the new UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals San Ramon ambulatory location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on May 13. The new location expands access to pediatric specialty care throughout the Tri-Valley and East Bay, including pediatric orthopaedic services.
The new location brings expert pediatric orthopaedic care closer to home, reducing travel time for children and adolescents seeking evaluation and treatment for fractures, sports injuries, scoliosis, hip disorders, limb differences and other musculoskeletal conditions.

The San Ramon clinic is led by Jason Jagodzinski, MD, who provides comprehensive pediatric orthopaedic care as part of UCSF's nationally recognized pediatric orthopaedics program.
Faculty, staff, community members and local officials—including the mayor of San Ramon—joined the celebration, which highlighted the opening of the new UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals San Ramon ambulatory location and UCSF's continued commitment to expanding access to world-class pediatric specialty care across Northern California.
"Every child deserves access to exceptional orthopaedic care close to home," said Ishaan Swarup, MD, chief of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at UCSF. "The opening of our San Ramon clinic allows us to serve more families in the Tri-Valley and East Bay while delivering the same high-quality, compassionate care for which UCSF is known."
