The OTI Summer Research Internship is available to qualified applicants during the summer months of June through August, for periods of 6-12 weeks.
Interns will contribute to new or ongoing research projects that revolve around advancing the field of orthopaedic trauma. Fields of research include, but are not limited to, prospective & retrospective clinical research, systematic reviews & meta-analyses, biomechanical research and data science.
Outside of research time, interns will have the ability to shadow in the clinic and the operating room, as well as attend and participate in educational activities.
The goal of this internship is for the interns to gain skills in medical research while being exposed to the field of orthopaedic trauma surgery. Interns will have the option of working either with the Orthopaedic Trauma Institute services at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital or at Regional Medical Center in San Jose
