What we do
The Cannon Society creates opportunities for alumni engagement, mentorship, networking, academic and research collaboration, and continued connection with UCSF Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery.
Our goal is to reconnect alumni, support current residents and fellows, advance knowledge and build an enduring community grounded in excellence and compassionate patient care.
UCSF Sports Medicine faculty and orthopaedic surgery residents joined W. Dilworth “Dil” Cannon, MD, on September 9 in San Francisco to celebrate the launch of the Cannon Society. The new academic society will connect UCSF Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery alumni through mentorship, networking and research collaboration while carrying forward Dr. Cannon’s legacy of compassion and clinical excellence.
