Our work
The Viet Cal non-profit program has been connecting California-based orthopaedic surgeons with Vietnam-based hospitals since 2015. Our annual trips consist of a team of US surgeons, residents, medical students, and pre-medical students. We collaborate with the orthopaedic surgery department and residency program at the Viet Duc Hospital in Hanoi on complex malunions, nonunions, and challenging elective surgeries, frequently traveling together as a combined team to more remote parts of the country. Our program also sponsors 2 Vietnamese surgeons per year to travel to the United States for additional training and observerships.
