- From response to education, we are a volunteer-driven medical relief effort. The Halifax chapter of Team Broken Earth is led by the Orthopaedic Dvision at Dalhousie University. We try to send two volunteer teams to Port Au Prince, Haiti, each year. The team consists of roughly 25 healthcare professionals from all areas of the hospital to teach the local staff on new techniques, as well as, care for patients. We cover the operating rooms, emergency department, ICU, pediatric and PICU.
- We offer opportunities for residents to participate in mission trips with Team Broken Earth Halifax Chapter, as well as, opportunities for residents to participate in global exchanges.
