Trisha Tanaka

My name is Trisha, and I'm one of the MTM students who will be working with the Bahney Lab this year! I've attached my headshot and here is my short bio for the lab website:

I am a Master of Translational Medicine student at UC Berkeley and UCSF. I recently graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Bioengineering where I did my undergraduate capstone on developing a novel gene therapy using CRISPR. During my senior year, I also worked on a student-led research team to investigate methods to engineer hypoxia-resilient CAR T cells. My interests lie in developing and commercializing products that leverage biological systems in novel ways to improve current standards of care. This year, I aim to gain a deeper understanding of the regulatory and clinical landscapes and how to navigate the product development process.
