Our outstanding Orthopedic Trauma Institute has expanded its services to the Washington Health Medical Group.
About the UCSF Health Orthopedics and Spine Fremont:
Since 2024, the UCSF Department of Orthopaedics and the Orthopaedic Trauma Institute at WHMG has served as a major referral center for complex orthopaedics surgical problems in the East Bay.
The orthopaedic surgery team, which includes attendings, fellows, and physician assistants, has outpatient clinic five days a week, performs more than 1,000 trauma surgeries per year, and covers emergency services and the operating rooms 24/7/365.

Transportation at UCSF Health Orthopedics and Spine Fremont
Driving, parking
- From San Francisco, take I-80 East to I-880 South toward San Jose.
- Exit at Mowry Avenue in Fremont and continue west.
- Turn left on Peralta Boulevard, then right on Stivers Street.
- Free parking is available in our lot directly in front of the office.
Public transportation
- Take BART to the Warm Springs/South Fremont train (about 55–60 minutes from San Francisco).
- Exit at Fremont BART Station.
From Fremont BART to clinic:
- By car (Uber, Lyft, taxi): about 5 minutes.
- By bus: Take AC Transit Route 216, exit at Peralta Boulevard & Dusterberry Way, then walk about 5 minutes.
- Walking: About 25 minutes (1.3 miles). Head west on Walnut Avenue, turn right on Peralta Boulevard, then left on Stivers Street.
