UCSF Orthotics and Prosthetics, a division within the UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, co-sponsors the Bionic 5K & 1 Mile, a special event benefitting care, research and advocacy for those with physical challenges. 

The professionally timed, certified 5K and one-mile courses welcome everyone -- elite runners, weekend warriors, amputee blade runners, biomechanics researchers, wheelchair athletes, high school cross country teams, and first-timers.

All proceeds support the Bionic Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering community, culture, and engagement for individuals of all abilities. The Bionic Project organizes the event and is a valued partner of UCSF.
