About Henry Liu, BA
I am a Master of Translational Medicine candidate at UC Berkeley and UCSF with a passion for therapeutic discovery and development. I aspire to pursue a career in the pharmaceutical industry as a drug developer or molecular biologist, with interests in precision medicine and translating novel therapeutics from bench to bedside.
I graduated from Grinnell College with a double major in Biology and Sociology, where I conducted research in ecology and plant physiology. Through the MTM program, I am gaining hands-on training in translational pharmacology and therapeutic development, supported by curriculums spanning leadership, engineering, business, and clinical sciences. My year-long capstone project, mentored by Dr. Bahney, focuses on regenerative therapeutics for bone fracture repair.
Alongside this work, I am expanding my expertise in bioinformatic and computational methods by current and prospective coursework, including gene alignment algorithms and biological micro-electro-mechanical systems, and applications of deep learning in pharmacology.
