About Jennifer Liu, MD

Dr. Jennifer W. Liu earned her Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for academic excellence. She completed her Orthopedic Surgery residency at Houston Methodist Hospital, where she received the Resident Research Award in recognition of her scholarly contributions. Dr. Liu's research interests span a broad range of orthopaedic topics, with particular focus on adult reconstruction, spine surgery, total joint arthroplasty, intervertebral disc biology, musculoskeletal biomechanics, and clinical outcomes research. Her extensive publication record includes studies on total knee arthroplasty alignment, spinal deformity surgery, lumbar interbody fusion, diabetic foot and ankle surgery, and the molecular mechanisms underlying intervertebral disc degeneration, reflecting a strong commitment to advancing both translational science and evidence-based orthopaedic care.
