About Arthur McDowell, MD

Dr. Arthur McDowell is an Orthopedic Adult Reconstruction Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Washington. His clinical interests include complex primary and revision total joint arthroplasty, with a particular focus on periprosthetic fractures and challenging hip and knee reconstructions. He is deeply committed to clinical excellence, evidence-based medicine, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Through his work, he strives to deliver the highest standard of treatment while building meaningful relationships with the patients and communities he serves.
