About Kayla Williams, MD

Kayla Williams, MD, is a Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist, who specializes in caring for infants, children, and adolescents with rehabilitation needs stemming from congenital or acquired impairments or disabilities. Her expertise spans a wide spectrum, including brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations or limb deficiencies, rheumatic disorders, neurological conditions, cancer, and musculoskeletal conditions.

In addition to her clinical role, Dr. Williams is actively engaged in research to enhance the quality of life for children and families facing medical and functional challenges. Her dedication extends to a diverse range of abilities. Dr. Williams also enjoys mentoring and teaching, contributing to the development of future healthcare professionals.

Dr. Williams received her bachelor's degree from Hampton University, and earned her doctorate in medicine from Howard University College of Medicine. She then completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation from the University of Texas Southwestern.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Williams is an amateur chef, fitness fanatic, and travel enthusiast, adding depth to her commitment to holistic well-being.

Dr. Williams will be seeing patients at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals in Oakland and San Francisco.
